My love of yoga, study of alternative therapies, and background in family therapy informs the work I do with clients. I’m interested in bridging the divide between eastern and western health practices by combining mind-body therapies, mindfulness practices, and creative techniques with more traditional evidence-based modalities.
I believe in treating the whole person including looking at family history, medical history, daily routines, and relationship patterns. I work collaboratively with my clients and their families to provide a safe, supportive environment in which habits, behaviors, and moods can be explored and new ways of being can be tried.
I draw from family systems theories, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and expressive and experiential approaches, as well as my client’s own innate wisdom when designing interventions and treatment plans. My specialties include: treating anxiety and depression naturally; teaching parenting, communication, stress management, and conflict resolution skills; improving self-esteem; navigating change; and dealing with trauma and grief.
